Jimmy Liao ist ein Illustrator und Bilderbuchautor.Er veröffentlichte seine Werke in zahlreichen Zeitungen und Zeitschriften, bevor er 1998 seine ersten Bilderbücher “Secrets in the woods” und “A fish that smiled at me” produzierte. Seine Werke zeichnen sich durch kräftige Farben und einen einfachen und ausdrucksstarken Stil aus, der oft auf eine poetische Welt voller tiefer Emotionen anspielt.
